When you push the door of La Fab Fabrika, you understand immediately: here you are not in the wise decor. Hand tufted wall mats, vibrant colors, pop spirit, bold drawings — the universe is joyful, graphic, and resolutely apart.
From London graphic design to Basque tufting
The adventure began in January 2024 in London. After a career in graphic design and digital printing, the designer feels the need to return to something tangible. Tufting — this technique of throwing wool with a gun on a web — starts like a hobby, a London stress outlet. Very quickly, it becomes obvious: creating for space, for home, for the senses.
Back on the Basque coast, La Fab Fabrika becomes its main activity.
The carpet that breaks the codes
Each creation is designed, then transferred to the canvas, then tufted by hand with the wool pistol. The colors are vibrant, the graphic patterns, and the pop spirit, playful, full of personality. No boring reproduction: each room is unique, thought to give character to a wall, a room, an interior.
Why the wall rather than the floor?
This is one of the biases taken from the house: the tufted carpet becomes a mural. We look at him, we touch him, he dresses space like a textile painting. It's beautiful, soft, and terribly more original than a framed poster.
Who's this for?
To the decors that are tired of white, to the interiors that need peps, to the people who want to do it, the local, the step seen elsewhere. The Fab Fabrika is also tailor-made — an opportunity to imagine a 100% piece in your image.
A visual signature that really comes out of the ordinary in the Basque Country.
