Behind the pretty name of Maison Qiba Kibrille — The heart beats (which beats) and the eyes shine (ki shines) — there is Aurélie Fanielle, a creative and artisan based in the Basque Country. Former Senior Manager Supply Chain & Production in the cosmetics and perfumery industry for twenty years, an engineer trained in Arts and Crafts ParisTech, Aurélie has made a nice turn: leaving the major industrial structures to create her own pieces, by hand, in a very small quantity.
A workshop where each room makes sense
Maison Qiba Kibrille is a workshop for the creation and manufacture of textile articles: accessories (bags, pouches, kits...) and household linen designed and sewn in an artisanal approach. The pieces are produced unitarily or in very small series — the exact opposite of the fast-fashion that Aurélie observed at length from the inside.
Environmentally responsible approach
The collection is developed with an environmental concern assumed: materials preserving the environment, thoughtful choices, reasoned production. Far from industrial cadences, each item is designed to last, to be used, and to please for a long time.
A point of sale in the heart of Bayonne
Qiba Kibrille creations can be found in a clean shop and also at La Transversale, the artisans' collective of Petit Bayonne, which brings together a dozen local designers and creators. A beautiful way to discover the universe of Aurelia at the same time as that of a whole vibrant Basque textile scene.
Maison Qiba Kibrille bears his name: this is exactly how you feel when you discover your rooms — the heart that beats, and the eyes that shine.
