In the heart of Grand Bayonne, rue Ducéré, Théamora Café opened its doors at the end of 2025 with a very simple but terribly welcome idea: make a coffee where families really feel at home. At his head, Maëva Bordas, who imagined the place from his own experience as a young mother. She tells it straight away: during her parental leave, she quickly found that there were no real places in the Basque Country to welcome parents with their children. Not "tolerant" coffees with strollers, but a place where the child can move, play, explore — while the adult quietly savors his coffee a few meters away, without tension in the shoulders. A cafe, spaces, and real attentionTheamora is a café-restaurant open to all, with dedicated children's spaces placed under the direct look of parents. Babies who start to move, toddlers, young children: each one finds suitable games and corners. The idea is not to "guard" the children, but to offer them a quality time while the parents blow.A la carte, we find the essentials of a good coffee-lounge of tea: coffees, teas, small food, all in a warm atmosphere and thought to last longer than a simple break. More than a coffee: a living placeMaëva also regularly offers parent-child workshops: embroidery, baby gym, sensory awakening... So many opportunities to create a link, to leave the daily life and to meet other families in the Basque Country in a soothing setting. At a time when some places proudly display their "no kids" policy, Theamora takes the opposite step with gentleness: here, family inclusiveness is an assumed bias — And it feels good.An address to put in all the pockets of young Bayon parents.
