On the Eugénie square in Biarritz, a stone's throw from the church of Sainte-Eugénie and the fishing port, Les Glaces Eugénie hides a beautiful family story. The place where Maxime welcomes today the gourmets belonged to her grandparents, some twenty years ago. A small story of transmission, discreet but touching, which deeply anchors this address in the sweet heritage of the city.

A friendly welcome, a window that makes you want

At Maxime, everything begins with a warm welcome — that is what those who push the door immediately notice. Then comes the window, and there we understand: artisanal ice creams made in Ascain by Maison Bargeton, one of the Basque Country's references to ice. Mathieu Bargeton, whose vanilla was voted best vanilla ice cream from France by Gault & Millau in 2019, produces all his creations in his studio in Ascain, with perfumes that vary over the seasons and arrivals.

It is difficult to find a better glacier partner for an address that wants to combine tradition, quality and freshness.

Fragrances for all palates

At la carte, everyone finds his happiness there:

The great classics for purists (vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, strawberry...)
More original associations for the curious (parfums that change according to the seasons and arrivals Bargeton — basil lemon, Basque cake, Bronte pistachio, tangelo...)

Each season brings its surprises.

What if you're not a fan of ice cream?

Maxime thought of everyone. A la carte: fresh smoothies, afogato coffee (the unbeatable espresso poured on a vanilla iceball), and especially the home specialty that is worth a visit.

The Brioche Gelato Otto — the unbeatable

It is THE signature product of the Eugénie Ices: a mellow brioche with two ice scents of choice. Our tasting advice: test it in hot version. The warm brioche, the ice that melts slightly in, the double combination of perfumes... Generous, greedy, melting: it is the kind of dessert that makes you forget all the others.

A sweet break in the heart of Biarritz

Between the ocean view, the proximity of the fishermen's port, the family history of the place and the quality of the Bargeton ice creams, Les Glaces Eugénie is the perfect address for a sweet and refreshing break in the heart of Biarritz. And as it appears, other new developments are coming...

A good reason to come back.
